One hurt in crash between gas tanker, car

A driver is in South Shore Hospital after being injured in a Sunday night crash with a gasoline tanker. According to Lieutenant Donald Hussey, the crash between the tanker and car occurred shortly after 10 p.m. at the Prime Energy gas station at the intersection of Route 139 (Market Street) and Howard Street. Market Street was closed for an hour while firefighters extricated the car from the underside of the tanker.

An ambulance took a victim of the crash to a hospital. There was no information available on injuries or how much gasoline was in the tanker. The road was closed for more than an hour as crews worked on freeing the vehicle.
